An image from one of Facebook’s Open Compute entries relating to a battery cabinet on Open Compute Digital Realty Trust has become an official member of the Open Compute Foundation, and will use its standing to release its secrets on power and cooling at its 98 properties around the world. The foundation leads the Open Compute Project set up by Facebook to share knowledge between operators and engineers in differing companies on data center efficiency.
